Behind our logo: More than just flowers

Early on when deciding to start a business, Brittany and I had to choose a name to set up our website and design a logo.  

More than just flowers

You will notice in one of the logos is two flowers intertwine - a geranium (mum) and a daisy. The flowers may seem out of the ordinary. Why flowers? We sell clothing, not a garden.

We focus on building confidence and a community. However, a large part of that community is family.

Our family is so important to us. As you know Brittany and I are cousins and we have two daughters, who are seven months apart. When creating our logo, we wanted to involve a part of us. That part was our daughters (and also goddaughters). 

Stella was born in April, which birth flower is a daisy. Brooklyn was born in November, which birth flower is a mum. 

Family forever

Not everyone has family members that they are so close to. I’m blessed to have Brittany close in age. We grew up in school together, and stayed in touch thereafter.

Some tell us we are twins - and we are often confused as sisters. 

And honestly, we are. Sisters in heart. 

Brittany and I took our friendship to the next level by getting tattoos of our daughters’ flowers. Our tattoos mean so much to us. It’s more than just the boutique logo. It’s more than for the business. 

It’s everything.

It’s for our family. It’s for our daughters. It’s for our friendship. It’s about staying “simply confident” in our life no matter what. Never giving up on yourself.

We have big things ahead of us. I can feel it. It helps me feel more confident knowing I have someone like Brittany to do it with.
